Dr. Bulent Tarman is the former CEO and principal of Young Scholars of Central PA Charter School in State College in Pennsylvania. He is currently working as an Assit. Prof. in the Faculty of Education at Selcuk University with the emphasis area of Social Studies Education.

Dr. Bulent Tarman is the former CEO and principal of Young Scholars of Central PA Charter School in State College in Pennsylvania. He is currently working as an Assit. Prof. in the Faculty of Education at Selcuk University with the emphasis area of Social Studies Education. He holds a PhD, with an emphasis on social studies education, as well as comparative and international education, from Pennsylvania State University. He also holds a BA in history and an MEd in social studies education. Dr. Tarman has numerous publications and presentations to his credit.

Dr. Tarman is an enthusiastic and devoted entrepreneur in international education. While pursuing his doctoral studies at Penn State, he identified the need for a charter school devoted to multicultural immersion. This was a result of his own personal cultural immersion experience in the United States, as well as his tertiary education focusing on international education at Pennsylvania State University. He turned this charter school vision into a comprehensive plan, and the school today has a very broad appeal among both international and domestic families wishing to educate their children in a culturally diverse environment.
